Amazing job bud
As you've already stated the whole stick figure thing is a bit of an undershot for you. I look at the quality of your art and the detail in most your scenes and it's not only good, it's great given that you used a mouse and all. The use of stick figures in a piece of work with the quality you've already exhibited is just selling your audience short.
While the artistic design of the environments had me immersed in the series, the second the characters stepped into the picture I lost my connection with the beauty of it all; they were/are lifeless and extremely boring to watch.
Seeing the eyes move across a 2 dimensional facial plane is heart wrenching as I look at the BG and see the intricately detailed props and pieces.
Please consider for future projects (not this series) to utilize your skill and breath the same air into character design as you did your environments and I suspect you'll be amongst the best of the best here on NG!
Great work
Bravo! Bravo!
I loved it! Great time, remindd me a lot of Ren and Stimpy. Had a certain Tarantino feel as well, with all the skipping around and cuts and all. Great job guys
Tarantino? Woah, that's cool. Thanks.
Can you stop out-doing yourself?
Everything you make is just wonderfully produced. Great job Weebl
loops, loops, loops!
Too many loops buddy! The problem with using loops this way is that it's very similar to music, in that if you create a musical loops every 4 count, you've effectively lost your audiences attention because all they're doing now is focusing on when there will be change. It seems that you've created loop cycles that run on 4 to 8 frames... far too close to be having such a loop in almost every animated aspect of this piece. As was stated already, great art, poor execution. Keep working on it... cause I know this is just a pilot!
What in the holy
Ok, no, this wasn't funny, I have to agree with the fella below. What was the story even about? My advice is spend some time developing a story worth animating. It's unfortunate so many people publish work they've done just to publish it. You have an artistically creative approach, but your story telling abilities need work.
Brilliant!!!
This was a great idea and excellently executed!
Very rarely
Do I give a 10, not that my 10 is special, but it's reserved for real animation, real story and real overall skill!! You nailed it buddy. In under 10 minutes you created memorable characters, memorable scenes and a memorable story! How? Because you didn't rush and because you 'took your time'. I admire your ability to tell a story in such a brief time all by yourself. Please, give us more! I would love to see your 'making of' if there's any.
Dude... you're amazing!
i don't even know what to say to this... just great, great animation.
I've spent a vast majority of my working life doing jobs less conducive to my passion than I care to admit. I've decided to make a change, the change will be vast! I am starting from scratch on a project that is sure to turn heads here at NG!
