Really well done. Are you part of the BCA FX course?

tommykong95 responds:

Thanks for commenting. No, I just learn through his animations

Outstanding. so much has already been said about this piece, so I won't be redundant. Simply put, you certainly know what you're doing (as a team or solo, however this was made)

deweydarklight responds:

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it very much.

Yes, this is amazing work! Big ups to your team for providing us with a very, very functional piece of work.

Hey there Adam, NG... yeah... I like BCA FX by far. Anyhow, this is brilliant! As I've already told you, animation= perfection, sound= a whole lot of re-watching just to laugh again and again! You gotta start getting some credit for you sound editing too man, it's stellar!
Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing you back at home base.

chluaid responds:

haha thanks man! My audio work is getting more complex with every project, but it's loads more fun on bite-sized projects like this :D

Yup, I liked the first 30 seconds, then it just went cliche. Leo & Satan = original greatness!
Hellbenders= sad attempt to incorporate homosexuality into everything...you know, just like the cable tv.

The opening 30 seconds was magical; the BG, the characters, the music, the whole composition.

What kind of mic are you using?

I agree with the few reviews I read, this was just not funny and I think that's mainly because your audio was really tinny. It detracted from the point of the already dry jokes. Obviously this video makes very little sense to anyone who hasn't played Minecraft (Me) and to those that have, I am almost certain the jokes just fell short of 'good'.

My suggestion is to put a little more time into the audio production, keep the levels level, keep the recording space consistent as well so it doesn't sound like you're yelling in a tunnel on scenes where it makes no sense.

As for the art and execution of FxF animation, I applaud you! Too much tweening can get tiring. I really liked the smooth, crisp style you have. Keep it up, make sure to spend as much time on the overall production and VIOLA! That's my 2 cents...

Outstanding!!!

Something refreshing. This is what I've been waiting for, original art, original style overall! I loved the coloring and the animation was very fluid. But a month? Really? That's ridiculously good if so. Keep it up buddy

Pretty good...

I always feel like people are too damn generous with the star system here. I mean, you got all these 9's and 10's and it pretty much means don't do anything more, you got it all right! How can that be? Do people just feel bad about giving you a score lower than that? Sure, 4 is low, but it comes with justification.

First, yeah, this is NG and a pre-loader is a must, especially on a 8 mb file!! Otherwise you get people like me with 156 kb dsl line who have to pause the show and wait for some invisible loading, so points lost for that. I mean, this is a network of artist, go to the forum and ask how to add a pre-loader, especially if you already own FL.
Secondly, the whole thing was very well done! The scale was a bit 'off' and the unison of movements between the character and the moving objects wasn't timed properly. Obviously you know these things cause you made it, but here it does pay to listen and to appreciate those of us who say something more than, "oh, gosh, you have skills! Can't wait for another one!" Nope, not me, instead I would rather offer some perspective.

Lastly, I just would like to say welcome to NG if your subscription coincides with your upload. This is a great place to hone your skills and to appreciate a lot of wonderful artist! Staying tuned...

KERRUPT responds:

Thanks for the comments Banegame. I'm pleased to say I've just discovered how to attach a preloader so I'll be sure to include them in all my future uploads and, hopefully, I can work your suggestions into my future work. I should have some more up in the next few months.

Hope you're well.

Meh....

After Effects and sprites pulled straight from some game... so? I think the presentation wasn't too bad, but as far as creativity, nah, this just wasn't much fun to watch. Perhaps if the characters actually made contact with their moves more than .05% of the time it'd be interesting, instead their just jumping around in a ballet fashion, dodging everything and making awkward remarks. "You look weak"? What the hell does that even mean? The dude had a damn fire tiger popping out his ass...!!!!
Anyway, My advice is to do something original with your own sprites and with an actual point to it. Here, all I see is a replaced background and probably your own text, otherwise, meh.

The plot...

I'm not up to date on the series, and after watching this one I see why. The story, if being told in short segments like this one, must not be very interesting. I have to say that adding TF into the plot totally derailed the entire piece. Why does everyone give such praise to TF? I know he is the reason NG exist, but ummm, you may as well praise Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, right? After all they have more to do with your creation than TF...

Anyway, my advice to you is to make each part of your series capable of standing on it's own as an interest-grabbing piece. Otherwise a person like myself who is not privy to this series will see something as 'holy' as this and just say "meh", it's another flash using cut-out tech. Good color, Good sound all around, but medial delivery in my opinion.

I've spent a vast majority of my working life doing jobs less conducive to my passion than I care to admit. I've decided to make a change, the change will be vast! I am starting from scratch on a project that is sure to turn heads here at NG!
